This phone is cute and that is about it, this phone drops calls all the time, and half of the calls that come through I do not receive. The screen continue to go blank on me, and if I could I would give the phone a zero because 1 is too high.

The lowest I can give it is a 1 huh? I've had this phone for almost a year. My first major issue was that I couldn't talk on the stupid thing because it drops calls all the time. The next issue is that the screen just started going out occasionally until eventually it just didn't come on anymore. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy this phone. Oh wait! They don't even sell it anymore! I wonder why? =

Okay, this phone is crap. Is it the phone or the carrier (Cingular)? The phone drops calls like a baby drops its milk bottle. I can get perfect reception 800 miles away, but can't make a local call a mile away at Wal-Mart. WTF? My wife and I are ready to eat the early cancelation fees and either get a different phone, or switch carriers (we were with Verizon before). Let me know what you think.

If I could rate this a zero I would. Purchased in May, I am now on my third replacement. I have the same provider and my Nokia worked fine. This drops call, or I can hear who I called but they cannont hear me. Tells me I have emergency only or service unavailable, doesn't ring, doesn't tell me I have missed calls or I have messages. Or it will tell me I have missed a call but I don't have a message or I have a message and when I go to voice mail I don't. The first and third phone you can't hear very well but the second one you could hear pretty good. Considering the cellular tower is right down the road I know it is the provider especially my other phone worked fine. Don't waste your money. I am now going to have to purchase another phone if I want to actually be able to use it. Hope this helps someone not make a mistake in purchasing a piece of junk!

Most of my problem is the Cellular Provider Cingular, however the phone is crap too. The screen on my wifes phone blacked out several times resulting in a loaner phone. The loaner phone would not function in vibrate mode. My phone seems to have the reception of a brick, constantly drops call. The picture on the screen shifts around constantly until it cut off then on again. Bottom line DONT BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!

If I could give this phone a lesser rating I would! However, it is not only the phones fault it is also the wireless companys (that will soon no longer exist. I too experianced the same problems with calls & downloads. I finally called LG and I was told that _ _ & _ was notified that the 4010 & 4050 can not download anything! So its the people who sold it to you that are at fault!

I just got 4 of them for my family. I must say it's the worst phone I have ever owned. Can't get rid of stupid wallpaper either.I going to dump these cheap phones and purchase 4 real flip phones.

Drops call all the time ,and can't hear unless you are in a totally quiet room. only thing good about it is the size.

This Phone sucks. It drops calls after 3mins. Must be something wrong with the internal software or hardware. Don't buy it.

I bought the LG G4010 as part of my Cingular KIC prepaid plan. It is not as bad as people think it is. It's only for people like me who use it very little. I like the fact that the buttons are spaced out. The backlight is okay. I bought a data cable off eBay (LG doesn't sell any) and it works flawlessly to sync. phonebook and transfer ringtones (no luck with wallpapers yet).

I can't give the phone a 5 because LG ruined this wonderful phone by not providing great software like other companies do. I bought a data cable from Taiwan, software from Russia, and I'm still looking for wallpaper software. I'm going to use this phone for now, but in the future I will think twice before purchasing another LG product. By the way, the manual is poor. But things aren't hard to figure out yourself. This was my first cell phone, and I figured most things out. If you have the cash, get the 4050.

I like the size and design, although the lighting is a little cheesy. I can deal with the wallpapers, etc. What I can't deal with is the constant dropping of calls. I had to turn mine back in and get a loaner. I couldn't have a conversation more than six minutes before the calls would drop. No other phone had that problem.

OVER ALL IT IS A DECENT PHONE! MY COMPLAINTS ARE EVEN THAT THOUGH I THE VOLUME TURNED ALL THE WAY UP I STILL CAN'T HEAR A LOT OF THE PEOPLE I'M TRYING TO TALK TO, AND SECOND TRYING TO DOWNLOAD A RING TONE IS REALLY COMPLICATED!!!!!!! TRUST ME BEFORE YOU BUY THE PHONE REQUEST TO LISTEN TO THE RING TONES BECAUSE THEY SUCK!

Terrific phone: small, lightweight, excellent audio and RF performance. Battery life is short for a heavy user (but I'm not, so it's fine for me). As to downloading ring tones and graphics via text messaging, yes the website says that, but I tried it and it doesn't work. The Cingular folks confirmed that you must subscribe to their web service to do the downloads. It's not a big deal to me, but if it is to you, caveat emptor!

There are better phones like the g4050 but they come at a larger price too. LOL well it lacks an external display somthing that is normal for todays flips so you can see who is calling and take advantage of the flip to answer option. The phone has several nice options and gets wonderful signal for a phone of its size. I am very happy with it and its was inexpensive. The fact that you cant turn off the wallpaper is a minor drawback nothing to get mad about dustin. on the 'fans' wallpaper it is quite easy to read the time and date display. I am currently using a motorola t720 with a color screen and I like my lg better cant wait to get a 4050 with color screen and external display. btw the blue backlight is great!!!

I like the phone and it seems ot work fine. Don't want to pay to extra to be able to access ringtones. My biggest complaint is not being able to turn off the wallpaper. I also would love to download a blank wallpaper. It's very hard to read the time and date with the wallpaper.

This Phone is a great phone compact,lightweight GPRS... it has so many possibilities, its inexpensive and very convinient and oh you can turn it off... Dustin from Stillwater, OK (Person who wrote the review above) hasent looked closely at the phone or has thrown the user guide 'out of a moving vehicle.' the button to hang up a call doubles as the power button if you hold it. You can get ringtones via text messaging (read more on the cingular website).Oh and one more thing, all predictive text messaging sucks. Its a wonderful phone, only one bad thing, its not a color display, but its all good.

The only good thing about this phone is that its small and light (perfect to throw out of a moving vehicle). Text messaging sucks, predictive text is horrible! Have to pay for internet access to get new ringtones or wallpapers, and speaking of the wallpapers the only reason i would download one is to find a blank one because you can't turn the damn thing off!!!!!
